Sono ufficialmente aperte le iscrizioni all'ottava edizione del Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition. Coreografi da tutto il mondo sono calorosamente invitati a presentare i loro duetti. Le iscrizioni sono aperte fino al 1° marzo 2026 e sono ammessi tutti gli stili di danza.Quest'anno il concorso si svolgerà il 18, 19 e 20 giugno 2026. Per questa edizione siamo entusiasti di trasferirci in una nuova sede: il Theater Zuidplein, dove non vediamo l'ora di accogliere la nostra comunità internazionale di creatori in un luogo vivace e stimolante.
Il vincitore del RIDCC 2026 riceverà l'XL Production Award, del valore di 100.000 euro. Questa eccezionale opportunità permetterà al coreografo vincitore di creare una nuova produzione autonoma con lo Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, inclusa una tournée nazionale. Si tratta di un significativo passo avanti per qualsiasi artista che lavori nel campo della danza internazionale.
Oltre al premio principale, tutti i sedici partecipanti selezionati hanno diritto a uno dei Partner Awards. Ogni partner offre la propria opportunità, che spazia da residenze creative allo sviluppo o alla presentazione di nuovi lavori. Questi premi offrono percorsi preziosi per i coreografi emergenti.
Durante la finale, il pubblico voterà il suo duetto preferito e contribuirà all'assegnazione del Premio del Pubblico.

The registrations for RIDCC 2026 are open NOW!
Official opening of the registration period for the eighth edition of the Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition. Choreographers from around the world are warmly invited to submit their duets. Registrations are open until March 1, 2026, and all dance styles are welcome.
This year, the competition will take place on June 18, 19 and 20, 2026. For this edition we are excited to move to a new home: Theater Zuidplein, where we look forward to welcoming our international community of makers to a vibrant and inspiring venue.
The winner of RIDCC 2026 will receive the XL Production Award, valued at 100,000 euros. This exceptional opportunity allows the winning choreographer to create a new, autonomous production with Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, including a national tour. It is a meaningful step forward for any artist working in the international dance field.
In addition to the main award, all sixteen selected participants are eligible for one of the Partner Awards. Each partner contributes its own opportunity, ranging from creative residencies to the development or presentation of new work. These awards offer valuable pathways for emerging choreographers.
During the Final, the audience will vote for their favorite duet and contribute to the Audience Award.
